Weight Revolution
Well, here I go again. Since January 2012, I have been stuck in the mid 140s weight range. The lowest I've seen has been 141.8 and no less. It has been 2.5 months. It is currently March 2012 and my most recent weigh in was 143.2lbs. These 140s has been my torment. One reason my body don't want to let go is because I used to maintain my weight, while in my 30s, around the high 140s/150s. So it is kind of saying to me, no I will not let you go past these 140s. My body has its' own mind apart from my brain. Nonetheless, I will preservere through this quagmire. Though my body is trying to teach me who is the boss, I will be victorious. Greater is the God in my soul than anything else in or outside of my being. I can do this. Furthermore, there has been a significant rediscovery at the gym lately. This past weekend, I rediscovered a machine called the Octane Fitness http://www.octanefitness.com/. This is my NEW MAN! I'm gonna marry this one, for sure:-) Now the reason that I state "rediscovered" is simply because I have used this machine once or twice before. The first couple of times, I was not enthused with this machine, and all I burned in 20 minutes was around 200 calories. I wasn't impressed. However, I needed to change up on machines because I was experiencing boredom. So, I decided to jump on it again and put it to the maximum stride of 26.0 and level 30.0. At first, I was pushing and pulling; then the machine would come to almost a squeeching halt, and I had to push through this for 5 minutes/2 laps. Sounds frustrating right? Well it is but I hung on in there and then it released and you could run with it. Then, I noticed in the calories burned section that I was clocking 3900 calories per hour! Yes, you read it right and I did not misspell anything--3900 calories per hour. I thought to myself, "Did they adjust this thing correctly?" I mean like what machine does this kind of burn?! Well, here's the deal, I am going to work this machine for an hour 5 days in a row up to my weigh in time. Now, I have been stuck for quite a while, and I am going to see if I released any weight at the end of this week. You see, if you burn 3500 calories that equates to 1lb gone. Naturally, I should lose 5lbs this week, but nothing is perfect so I will settle for 3lbs. If it works, I am marrying this fool! I will keep you updated. Have a peaceful day:-)
