Weight Month 11
This all began when my doctor informed me in December 2010, that I was borderline diabetic. My blood sugar was in the 6.0 range. I couldn't imagine being a diabetic. I love the quality of life too much. My triglycerides was up 183 and my blood pressure was in the 140s-150s systemic...I believe??? When I was diagnosed as borderline diabetic, I was 192lbs. I have struggled this year to lose 70 pounds. Today, I am down approximately 50lbs. I am not dieting, only eating sensibly. I have eliminated processed sugars, white breads and pasta, and sugary drinks from my home. I rarely ever eat beef, lamb, or pork. I never buy these meats for my home. It's a slow process, but the weight is slowly coming down. I try to drink 64ozs of water per day, and I take vitamins B12, Calcium, D, and a multivitamin. Also, the doctor did prescribe Metaformin for me. I take one in the morning/evening. Personally, I don't see the results of this medicine, but I must be so severely insulin resistant until.....Well, I work out at the gym at least 4-7 times a week. I lift weights too. I'm feeling so much better, but still have 20lbs to go before reaching my goal. My journey is more than weight; however, I have a love crush at the gym that I will spill about sometimes, and other matters that are important to this life of mine. Stay tuned.
